On a Denver team who is starving for rotation level players, Strawther’s summer league performance is one of the lone bright spots - PJ Hall and Trey Alexander have also done well.

He’s still coming to grips with having a lot more playmaking responsibility in Summer League, as his high turnovers show, but the scoring looks very real and the Denver bench is in dire need of it. Enormous range on his 3s, and he’s also attacking the rim way more now with varied results - getting a lot of FTs, showing some scoring chops but he still gets blocked quite a bit. He used to settle a lot more for floaters, and while he’s good at them it’s an inefficient shot for most guys not called Jokic or Brunson and it’s very important that he keeps developing his finishing.
