Been watching a lot of Brandon Roy highlights for nostalgia, got me thinking where he would rank in today’s NBA? Pace adjusted, he’s close to Ant Edwards right now:

2009 Brandon Roy, per 100:

33.7 / 7.1 / 7.6 / 1.7 / 0.4 on 57.3 TS (+2.9% League Average)

2024 Anthony Edwards, per 100:

36.6 / 7.7 / 7.2 / 1.8 / 0.7 on 57.5 TS (-0.5% League Average)

One of the guards who could attack the rim with insane quickness like a DWade, but also shoot the long ball. He had a MPJ like jump shot, where he would elevate so high and be unblockable. Cooked the best defenders like Artest at the time.

Feel like he would be a bigger beast in today’s spaced out league.

He would be better than that.

The dude had a fairly similar game to Kobe while also having great advanced stats.

He was 7th in PER, same TS% as Wade and better than Kobe, 6th in WS, 6th in WS/48, 4th in BPM, 4th in VORP.

His impact would be similar to Haliburton, Brunson level. He just didn’t put up big stats because his team played the slowest pace in the NBA for his prime.

Top 15-20. I definitely wouldn’t take him over Brunson, Mitchell, Booker.

he has like 30 - 50 games… per season and probably won’t even go deep in the playoffs, with the way how the game is played now you might say but they run more then on fastbreaks… jesus christ they run insane amount now on offball movement in a half court all those full stop and go… specially guarding guys who can pull up at 3 anytime I don’t know how much games he’d have plus his style too… lots of full stop from a full speed then pull up. great guy but no cartiliage. I’d say around top 30 it’s more of availability.
