This would be much better than preseason. It would also help them capitalize on the discourse and own it as well. The games would be fun - they can be held abroad too for a week. Players would enjoy it and even in a blowout it would help grow the game year by year.

    Love the idea!

    A preseason knockout tournament with the champs from all over would be epic.

    Imagine the different styles and intense matchups…great way to start the season!

    This has been done before.

    It was called the McDonalds championships in the mid 90’s for a few years.

    As you’d expect the NBA teams dominated without really trying too hard.

    It would be more competitive now, but I don’t think it would really make sense as a competition. Just stick to the occasional exhibition game.
