In baseball, often times people would argue that playing left field, right field, or 1st base is for players who can’t play defense and the DH is occupied already. What is the NBA equivalent of those positions? What is the least important defensive position in the NBA?

Probably PG because most PGs nowadays are scoring threats. So if the PG uses most of their energy on scoring and playmaking the SG should be more inclined to playing defense
