So Giannis has already had a great career, filled with many accomplishments, but it’s safe to say that his two MVP awards and Finals Championship sit at top of all of his accolades.

But while an Olympic Gold medal is usual seen as being less impressive than a League MVP award or Championship ring, it still is a very meaningful reward in it’s own right. In the case of Giannis, he would have to play at an insane level in order to lead the Greeks to win the gold medal. The players that he is surrounded with are not nearly as good as his teammates on the Bucks (no offense to the Greeks), and they would have to face off against some very tough teams to get a Gold medal.

So if Giannis is somehow able to lead the Greeks to a gold medal, would it be his most impressive accomplishment? How would a bronze medal rank?

    It would be an amazing achievement but I don’t think it’s the impossible feat some people here have it. Only 3 games stand between them and gold. 2 of which they’ve a realistic chance of winning on a good day. And if the USA manage to be knocked out, then it’s anyone’s tournament.

    I actually enjoy watching Greece play even when Giannis is resting. They don’t play the game bad and they’re giving it their all but they just can’t hit shots.

    A carry job like that would def be more impressive but it’s almost next to impossible, realistically at least one other player would have to come alive for them to have any chance.

    I can see them upsetting Germany a tad bit easier than I can against Canada. At the same time, I think Germany vs Canada would be a really good game and I don’t know which of those two I think have the best chance of upsetting USA. Maybe a slight edge to Germany.

    I think Greece vs France or Greece vs Serbia would make for some good games with just how the teams have been playing so far. I somehow haven’t seen Brazil play yet so I couldn’t guess how they’d do against Greece.

    Olympic gold is only less impressive for US players. For every other nationality, it’s more impressive. Manu’s olympic gold is the most impressive thing he’s done in his career.
