Exactly as asked in the title, I wonder if it would be more interesting for the Most Improved Player to be the player who improves the most over the course of a given season than the one who improved most from one season to the next.

For example, we’ve seen cases of guys missing the all star game but going on to be all NBA due to a stellar back half of the season, and I feel things like that should be recognized. It would also help limit the number of 3rd year guys taking that big yet much expected leap winning it when that’s not really the spirit of the award in my opinion.

    Best player for the last game of the year. Whoever goes off on the last game gets it regardless of if they’re the end of the bench or the superstar.

    No, but it should actually go to whoever has the biggest jump in play. Lately it’s just been going to whoever goes from good to great, not who has actually had the biggest jump.
