Tim Duncan definitely has more MVPs and championships. I wasn’t around to watch Hakeem was he more dominant defensively than Duncan?

I think it’s Tim but similar to the Kobe situation it’s where the daylight between them isn’t sufficient to lose sleep over for most reasonable people.

Hakeem has more blocks+steals than anyone else since the stats were tracked. I doubt anyone is ever going to touch him and that stat with the modern rules.

After saying that, I think it’s safe to say both sets of fans wouldn’t trade their guy for the other which is a pretty good admission of their greatness.

Duncan has 5 championship, 3 finals mvps, 2 mvps, 15 time all star, 15 time all nba (10 first team), 15 time all defense (8 first team).

Hakeem has 2 championships, 2 finals mvps, 1 mvp, 12 time all star, 12 time all nba (6 first team), 9 time all defense (5 first team) and 2 DPOY.

Tim is better in every accolade (escalate no DPOY - which is insanity). It’s Tim Duncan easily.

And how many titles would Olajuwon have had if his 80’s team wasn’t decimated by drugs/injury?

Hakeem is higher as individual, but Duncan has better team.
