I just came across some of his highlights and he was such a bucket. I’m not an X’s and O’s guy, but what made him such a good scorer in 2016-17? Was he just a high usage/high volume guy? Was it the system? Or was he just him?

    Every single play was run with the ball in his hands and the ability for him to score. A lot of high pick and roll. Thomas does deserve credit for executing them all well.

    He doesn’t get credit for being an elite shooter off the dribble. If you tried to close the gap he was too quick for you and would just get by you. He was so fun to watch.

    Starts with being a great shooter which makes defenders play closer to him. Extremely strong and fast for his size. And able to create contact before contact hits him on his drives. Body control and ability to finish.

    He carried the ball in a lot of his drives. Easier to change directions if you do so.
