Basically is there any sport in the Olympics that is dominated by a country year in and year out more than USA does in Men’s Basketball? I guess this question is for a ~30+ year period since USA only started sending their pros since 1992 (aka the Dream Team)

I don’t follow the Olympics too closely but I can’t think of any sport (summer or winter) that comes close.

    Could be the most dominant, but they field a ton of talent and still inevitably struggle against mediocre teams. South Sudan case in point. There are other past examples, but you get the idea.

    The men’s team has 16 gold medals in 20 attempts and the Women’s team has 9 gold medals in 12 attempts. The men’s team has a higher win percentage.
