Before just now I would have bet my life on the fact that the 2015 Trailblazers traded for Arron Afflalo to replace Wes Matthews after he tore his ACL. I 100% swear I remember this being the case.
I was looking at bball ref today and saw the Afflalo trade actually happened a couple of weeks before the Matthews injury. I still can barely believe it.

The Knicks were a super team in 2016-17
Shortly after Chicago snapped Miami’s 27 game win streak, I was watching highlights of that game on ESPN and I could have sworn they showed a clip of LeBron James and Joakim Noah diving on the floor for a loose ball.
Years later, I found out that Noah didn’t play a single minute in that game because he was injured.

That Vince Carter had deep playoff runs / finals appearances with either the Nets, Mavs or Orlando… he joined all these teams after they had their best runs IIRC!
