Nice to see he’s aware of what the FO intends to do with his contract situation and also that he’s eager to sign an extension when the Rockets decide to offer him one, but you can see he wants that opportunity sooner than later. As a player, you can’t even blame him. Assuming him and JG both don’t get extensions this summer, the FO is banking on both of them to have great and healthy seasons, Alpi had played a season with a mostly tweaked back and then couldn’t continue after a leg injury that could’ve been 10x worse than what actually happened. Having guaranteed money before an unintentional mishap is always a want, so I just hope the two of them can both be healthy for 82 games as I already have high hopes they will show out next season to get the contracts they deserve.

Sengun for sure won’t get an extension this summer. This has been said multiple times already. We are going to do the same thing Morey did with Maxey. Because both Maxey and Sengun are lower lottery picks, they have a smaller cap hold. It’s better for said team to go after a max contract player (like Sixers did with PG) then to sign their player to their max extension. It’s all cap space play

Maxey is the Robin (embiid the batman)

No one comes close to Sengun in terms of overall skill in rockets.

It’s a bit different from Maxey though, as in his case it was pretty much certain that the Sixers would max him in the following year. I’m not sure Houston has given Sengun similar assurances
