CP3 despite conventional wisdom has been very good when the team has needed him to step up in the playoffs. Despite losing in 6 games to the Bucks, he averaged 22/3/8 on 55/52/75 in the finals despite playing through an injury.

Devin Booker who was the first option averaged 28/3/4 on 54% TS.

    CP3 is sooo underrated…

I mean dude is a top 3-5 PG of all time… but nobody talks about it… for me he is top 3 of all time…

    Magic, Curry, & CP3 in that order…

CP3 is way better than Nash on defense (7x All Defense 1st, 2x 2nd) and way better shooter/scorer than Kidd (regularly known as Ason Kidd til very late in his career when he finally got a 3pt shot). It’s only IT, Magic, and Big O on skill/well-roundedness (and size for the latter 2, but that’s not something Paul could have changed) and Stockton on longevity and no injuries that I have over CP3.

He played through Covid? I don’t think so. Why would the league risk getting every member of each team sick as well as fans?

The reports are that COVID ran rampant through that Finals and if it had gone to game 7 I don’t the Bucks could have even fielded most of their players. Thanasis for sure tested positive and was out that game, and he had apparently unknowingly exposed quite a number of Bucks players.

He missed the first two games of the WCF with Covid and he was clearly affected by it for at least the next two or three games. We saw guys take a while to recover from the affects of Covid after the fact, so I don’t think it’s unfair to say he was playing through Covid in the Finals. You don’t have to be contagious to still suffer its affects.

Man. I’ll always hate Pat Bev for breaking Books nose. His efficiency before and after that is so drastic.
