Yes, I know Kareem, Wilt, and even Russell get some votes. But it is still dominated by MJ and Lebron.

Why? What are the separator? Is it just the achievements? Or Just the eye test that they play basketball better?

Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Shaq, Hakeem, Magic, Larry, Hakeem, Kobe are usually in people’s top 10-12 range.

But why are we (or at least most people) only considering MJ and Lebron?

Anyways, I expect a new Goat Candidate will be present in 2040s.

Seems like he is not yet in the league. Unless Players like Wemby proves me wrong

    Shit, I’ma be honest. The real reason why you hear about JORDAN and LEBRON specifically is because of Nike. It’s all about profit. They are 2 of the best for sure, but think deep.

    Think about it ? Why don’t we mention Wilt or Kareem or Bill Russell? They don’t have signature shoes. Follow the money. Jordan Brand and LeBron with Nike is what we will hear about for the rest of our lives.
