It’s something. It isn’t a lot, it’s only summer league after all. But the guy is under an insane amount of pressure. To have shown defensive mettle and to turn around his offensive output is impressive enough to be hopeful.

But it doesn’t mean much. It’s a couple of solid games at a level that’s not NBA standard. The test is whether he can bring that defense every night all season long, perhaps only playing a few minutes of meaningful NBA time and likely mostly G League. And then to add something offensively regularly. 38% as a willing 3 point shooter is actually fine. But can he do it long term?
