Say instead of being born in 1978 Kobe was born in 1998. So he’s part of the 2017 NBA draft class (assuming he went 1 and done in college). Assume he would have went in the lottery of that draft (you can pick whatever slot you like).

How does Kobe’s game look like now? Is he still an ISO heavy player? Would his shot selection be better? Is he still a SG now or would he be playing more point? And most importantly is he better or worse than he was in his own era? The pace and space surely would help him but with ISO’s and midranges being phased out of the game more and more, his game would have to change I think

    Quite worse. Kobe is more of a pure scorer with a league average 3pt shot.

    Teams would make him shoot 3s and actually force him to pass the ball.

    if someone doesn’t get Kobe an epipen he’ll die quite soon, he’s that allergic to passing on a typical night.

    he’ll still be an All NBA guy no doubt, but he won’t be a top 3 player in the league whatsoever. Jokic Embiid Luka Steph Lebron are just a level or two better
