Hypothetically,

All nba players in history will go back to their forms when they were a draft prospect. So Kobe/Lebron will be in their teens. But Kareem will be in his 20s. Since that was their draft prospect form.

In that case, who do you think will be the first pick?

Assume, you don’t know anything. You don’t know how good they would be in Nba. All you know is their draft prospect form.

Who will you pick?

Is it one of the Generational Surefire Center Draft Prospects like Shaq, Kareem, Wilt, etc?

Or an interesting build like Wemby?

Are MJ and Lebron still on the running?

Again, you don’t know MJ, Lebron, or even Kareem will be Goat Candidate level players.

So just think their draft prospect version. Their version before being drafted

Who will be the first pick?🤔🤔🤔

LeBron, Shaq, Wemby, Kareem, or maaaaybe Wilt. It depends on the era. In the early 2000s, LeBron would have been almost surely the #1 pick, because he was straight out of high school, whereas Shaq played college ball for three years; Kareem played for three (plus his freshman year); Wilt played for two years (plus his freshman year). Wemby played the equivalent of one though. It also depends on which teams were drafting (obviously). If a team has the option between these five guys but desperately needed a wing, then they’d go for LeBron. If they wanted someone who had a high floor and could contribute right away, they’d probably go with Kareem or Shaq.

In short, I’m going with LeBron, Shaq, Wemby, Kareem, and (possibly) Wilt.
