He is the best Trailblazer of all time and the second best Rocket to have been on one of their championship teams. Nowadays I see people calling Dame the best Blazer despite Drexler leading them to the finals, and when considering the best shooting guards of all time after MJ and Kobe, I hear people say Wade (sure) but they then say Harden but not Drexler. When will people stop disrespecting a top 30 player of all time?
What do you want us to do? Suck him off?
Is the Clyde Drexler disrespect in the room with us?
I’m not a Trailblazers historian at all, I truly don’t watch many of their games due to time zones and whatnot. But how is Bill Walton not considered the best Blazer of all time?
I’d guess because he only played there for 4 seasons
I get that, but didn’t he win league MVP, finals MVP, and a championship in that 4 years?
Bill Walton the GOAT blazer imo, but I’m not a fan of the team so maybe Clyde is more significant to their history in ways I don’t understand. I just remember blazermania and that team winning a chip.
Maybe generally he’s underrated but you are massively overrating him sorry. there is not a single chance that he is even near a top 30 player. harden clears drexler in basically every single metric of basketball. i think why many blazer fans probably have dame higher than drexler is that drexler himself thinks of himself as a rocket, and dame has a LOT more memorable moments compared to drexler even if drexler went to some finals. and obv more people watched dame than drexler
Honestly whoever played against Jordan gets lowered for some reason.
I’d say he’s 4th
MJ, Kobe, Wade all won more of everything. You name it. Rings, all stars, dpoy, mvp, scoring titles, all nba, defensive.
Clyde was a threat. I’m not saying he wasn’t a threat. But him being compared to MJ…I took offense to that.
Drexler injured his knee in March '92 and was never the same player again. And that is the Drexler people remember. Step slower and couldn’t jump quite as high, which was a big part of his game until then. He adjusted his game and was still excellent second choice in Houston. Had a quadruple double even.

I consider him the 3rd best shooting guard since I started following basketball and one of the best open court players ever. He also put up crazy offensive rebounding stats for a guard.
