The problem with the various conversations around Bronny is that it isn’t just an issue with his scoring. There are many other aspects of the game where he’s clearly not at an NBA level. His defense is sub-optimal, his passing isn’t great, and he’s just very much not ready. He hurt his career leaving college so quickly and he clearly only did it thanks to pressure from his dad.

I’m not even gonna lie I just want Bronny to be an average NBA player so I don’t have to hear the pendulum of him being overhyped and overhated constantly

Obligatory “who cares what Gilbert Arenas thinks about anything?”… Obviously some people do, which is wild. The dude is walking click bait.

The difference is there was reason to suspect Jaylen’s numbers were not indicative of his ability, whereas Bronny’s numbers are indicative of his ability. As a freshman in the PAC12 Jaylen’s scored more than three times as many points per game as Bronny. People were surprised at Jaylen’s shooting; no one is surprised at Bronny’s.

Maybe theres context missing here but this doesn’t sound like a call out even considering the lip reading shit. Sounds like Arenas is saying Jaylen Brown had a rough summer league start but it doesn’t matter, he’s now gone one to be a finals MVP.

Gilbert Arenas always has W takes. People here don’t like him but he’s actually one of the smartest NBA commentators.
