Sure it’s incredibly fun to watch and requires heaps of hard work and talent but I seriously don’t see how it is an Olympic sport. I’ve seen people say ‘what’s the difference between swinging around on a beam and breakdancing’ . That is ridiculous.

I think adding more events like this just devalues the speciality of other Olympic Games and Olympians.

    The host city gets to choose experimental sports for the Olympics, and this time, Paris chose to include breakdancing. It won’t be back for the LA games since they plan to include baseball, softball, flag football, squash, and cricket.

      If that’s the case, I hope one day pole dancing is chosen as an experimental sport. The strength needed for some of those tricks and stamina needed to combo those tricks are insane. It’s similar in some ways to gymnastics when chatting to my gymnast mate.
