Obviously a lot of the best potential players aren’t allowed to play because they didn’t go through the qualification process. Qualifying takes place during the NBA season and there’s not much reward to putting the effort in compared to focusing on professional 5v5 basketball.
The US has some of the best bball players but the players they sent out weren’t that good compared to what they could’ve sent. If the Olympics could let the countries pick the players then the quality of play can improve.
why do you punish other countries just to appease the US?
the other countries also had their guys play and qualify for the olympics.
