I mean it’s so common in the NBA for this to happen nowadays even those that signed a multi-year max contract. Why are players so entitled to be traded even though they are paid? Did you see Ohtani demand a trade when he was with the Angels? Or Judge? Or Trout? Or Soto with the Nats?

Seriously. Why do so many NBA superstars threaten to demand getting traded?

    I worked for a really crappy company once. I had a nice position. I was paid well. Benefits were nice. But the plant I was running was old and run down and the company didn’t want to invest back in it, or the people. It was a poorly run organization and is struggling heavily now.

    I wanted out and got out.

    For players it’s the same. Who wants to play for a franchise that is losing constantly, making poor decisions?

    And in the NBA some players can leverage their position to move on to what they hope will be a better situation.
