Hold your horses, this is not some reactionary take from the recent Olympic exhibition games. Based off the 23-24 season, I don’t see any argument for Curry to be ranked higher than LeBron. Yet every list for top 15 players seems to have Curry on top.

LeBron - 26/8/7 on 54/41/74 (63 ts%), 1 steal, .5 blocks

Curry - 26/5/5 on 45/41/92 (61.6 ts%), .66 steals, .34 blocks

EPM - Lebron (6th), Curry (12th)

LeBron is literally more efficient than Curry even though he sucks at free throws which heavily boosts true shooting. He does every single thing on offense better. Volume scoring with higher efficiency, assisting. And then on the other side of the ball he’s better at rebounding, perimeter defense, interior defense. Not to mention if he gets gassed he’s still a menace on both sides of the court due to his size while Curry becomes a defensive liability immediately. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone can watch the two play and argue that Curry is the better player right now.

And yes you can argue that Curry can take over games with his shooting, but i am much more confident in LeBron’s ability to take over games with driving and passing. We can clearly see that Curry can’t consistently shoot the lights out, but LeBron can do what he does night in and night out. This is being shown in these Olympic games. So for those who think Curry is better than LeBron what justification do you have beyond eye test?
