Many years ago I decided that you really can’t tell for sure who a player is gonna be until about their 2nd or even 3rd year in the league. There have been players with amazing rookie years who never amounted to anything (Tyreke Evans), and plenty of guys who looked mediocre or even bad as rookies that later became quite good.
I do not understand why so many people nowadays are in such a rush to proclaim someone a stud or a bust after barely seeing them play. Someone needs to consistently perform in actual NBA games and then also show growth year over year before you really know what they’re gonna be.
