Big Russ fan since the OKC days but really wondering if this move to Denver is a strategic move for legacy or just a move to stay in Championship contention!?

To play with Joker, Murrary and Gordon will be great for Russ because he gets to play with players who actually care about the game of basketball as a collective not singular. Clearly he’s been playing with selfish not selfless teammates these past few seasons. The only positive that can be taken from the Clippers experience is that Russ found an identity coming off the bench when needed and Coach Ty Lue established a relationship to where he knew when to pull him when Russ started to do too much on the floor turning over the ball etc. Russ took to coaching and Michael Malone is another one of those mad men in the NBA coaching ranks with a no nonsense approach which will be respected once WB arrives. I think Coach Malone already knows how to play Russ, in what schemes Russ will be successful in, and the minutes that will be allocated to Russ. And I would love to see a Murrary Russ backcourt on the second unit where Jamal would straight kill it off ball. Russ has shown on previous teams that he can improve a teammates stat line by getting them easier looks, most recently what Russ did for Beals game.

This pick up will work because Russ still has something left in the tank that is evident by the stats and what he has produced over the course of two seasons with the Clippers. Now you are giving him the best big in the league in Joker, one of the clutch players in the NBA in big shot Jamal Murray and the young splash cousin himself Michael Porter Jr to spread the floor this is a no brainer for Russ and change of pace low investment move for the Nuggets. If Russ really gets after it on the defensive end I could see him even starting tbh. Imagine Russ tormenting the opposing teams PG while Jamals kills the opposing 2 guard on offense. Imagine Russ cutting to basket and Joker hitting him with a pass hopefully not blowing the lay up lol. We all know it’s TRUE with Russ gotta take the good with the bad but Coach Malone will get the most out of him that for sure.

I’m sorry but I stopped reading when you implied that Westbrook’s struggles the past few years were attributed to “selfish teammates”
