    Think for Peaty it’s less about if he can make the 100 or not, but more about if he would want to.

    He’s been pretty open in the past about his mental health battles and his long term coach has just moved to Australia so its more questioning retirement rather than if he’s physically capable of competing. The advantage of the 50 in this context would be that it requires less training to be competitive, and also would be a new and different challenge for him as an athlete.
