According to basketball reference Paul George has a .9786 probability of making the HoF

Kawhi sits at .9131

I find this insane

They have almost identical career stats

Kawhi: 20pts 6.4rb 3ast

PG: 20.8pts 6.3rb 3.7ast

PG has played 171 more games and has 3 more All-Stars

Kawhi is a 2 time champion and finals MVP and has 2 DPOY

It seems as the HoF formula does not take these accolades into high regard but rather focuses on career stats. This becomes a lot more obvious given that Chris Paul, James Harden, Russell Westbrook and Dame all have higher HoF probability than Kawhi.

Do you think that is fair?

These are not really meant to be compared, a HoF player is an HoF player and this isn’t about who’s HoFier, it’s just the likelihood of meeting a certain bar that they’ve both easily cleared. They’re both huge locks to make it in for various reasons.
