I think considering what Steph did in the knockout games and overall leading in PPG and +/- for team USA he should have gotten the award. He had the best game in Olympic history and then the most clutch Olympic moment ever.
If it’s just about total tournament, including group play stats, then it’s for sure Jokic. He led the tournament in everything.
Lebron was good and consistent , but he wasn’t who decided the medals. That to me means you can’t be ‘most valuable’. And he wasn’t even statistically the best with Jokic. Not sure Lebron was even definitively the best American in any single game.
The fact the voting began before the Serbian game is ridiculous in my opinion.
