Tier 1:

Tier 2: Lebron, Jordan

Tier 3: Kareem

Tier 4: Magic, Bird, KD

Tier 5: Duncan, Shaq, Hakeem

Tier 6: Russell, Wilt, Kobe,

Tier 7: Steph, West, Moses

What are your thoughts. I tried to take into account consistency, peak dominance, NBA accolades and international accolades into my ranking to give a well-rounded overview of basketball as a whole. Tier 1 is left empty because I do not think we have seen the best that basketball can offer yet.

I left tier 1 empty as a statement that basketball’s greatest player who will surpass even the greatest will always come. I think with the evolution of the sport, theres always going to be crazy potential for a player with unlimited skill, versatality and impact to always come. Wemby or Jokic is an example. I jsut think theres always gonna be someone surpassing the greats. You add inhumane talent and crazy counting stats. Continuous dominance and dominating accolades and they will be in Tier 2 and Bron and MJ will be 3

Ah, ok. The Platonic Ideal. I’m hoping Wemby will reach that potential. Otherwise, I don’t know if I will watch the NBA after LeBron retires.
